Nicholas John Bosa (born October 23, 1997) is an American football defensive end for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers (NFL). He attended Ohio State and was selected second overall by the 49ers in the 2019 NFL Draft. Bosa, the son of former NFL defensive end John Bosa and the younger brother of Joey, a linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers, was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year after recording nine sacks during the regular season and assisting his team in reaching Super Bowl LIV.

Bosa went to St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was a four-year starter and multiple-year first-team all-state selection. He was a five-star recruit and one of the top players in his class. He has committed to playing college football at Ohio State University.

Bosa started all 13 games as a true freshman at Ohio State in 2016, recording 29 tackles, seven for a loss, and five sacks.

In his sophomore year, he started seven games at the defensive end for the Buckeyes. On October 16, Bosa announced his intention to leave Ohio State for the remainder of the season. Bosa decided to forego his senior year and enter the 2019 NFL Draft after the season.
