50 Cent is being sued by a female fan who claims that the rapper threw a microphone from stage that hit her in the face.
Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain alleged that the incident took place at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena over the summer.
According to legal documents obtained by Page Six, the LA radio DJ claims she suffered “severe and permanent injuries” from the incident.
“On or about August 30, 2023, [Bryhana] was lawfully on the [concert stage] and in the crowd watching Defendants G-Unit and [50 Cent’s] performance when he realized his microphone was not working,” the court docs read.
“[He] threw the microphone towards a crowded area, causing the microphone to strike [her] face and left wrist and resulting in severe and permanent injuries.”
A video surfaced in September 2023 on X (formerly known as Twitter) that featured the G-Unit singer tossing the mic into the crowd.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, appeared frustrated over the technical difficulties at the time.
After the show, Monegain went to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The court docs state that she suffered “a concussion, laceration over her forehead, and pain in her left wrist. She complained of dizziness, headaches, light and sound sensitivity and nausea.”
She added in her suit that she “continues to suffer from severe injuries and emotional distress.”
The Post has reached out to the rapper’s reps for comment.
TMZ reported that Monegain filed a police report soon after the show and named the “Power” actor as a criminal battery suspect.
At the time of the incident, the “In Da Club” rapper was investigated for battery. The District Attorney did not press charges and brought the matter to the LA City Attorney’s office.
Authorities determined that they would not pursue criminal charges.
50’s attorney Scott Leemon further spoke up about the issue on Aug. 31, saying that his client did not “intentionally strike” one of his fans in the face.
“Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis [’50 Cent’ Jackson] would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” Leemon told Page Six in a statement at the time.
“Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed,” the lawyer continued.
