Jonathan Knight Net Worth $40 Million
Jonathan was born into a big family, with his younger brother Jordan eventually joining him during the formation of the band New Kids on the Block; prior to joining the band, he worked at a pizza shop and the local Burger King. He was active in choir as well, singing in the church where his father was the priest. The band started in 1984, and would gain international popularity, winning numerous awards and selling over 80 million albums in the span of the 10 years when they made music and performed. Knight left the band while touring for their 1994 album “Face the Music”, due to a breakdown, and later the entire band would split – the band tried to cover his departure but eventually admitted that they were splitting. It would be 2008 when Jonathan would appear again in show business along with the original members of New Kids on the Block. They released their new album in 2008 called “The Block” and performed live on television. They also started touring again in Canada and the United States, and making it back to the charts.
During the time in between their disbanding and reunion, Jonathan became a real estate investor in Massachusetts. He’d also become very reclusive and declined a lot of interviews until the reunion. In 2011, he became a part of the series “True Life” on MTV to help fans with conditions such as panic disorders. Knight had been suffering from an anxiety disorder prior to leaving New Kids on the Block, but has since had it treated.
For his personal life, it is known that Jonathan was once connected to 1990s pop singer Tiffany (Renee Darwish). They both denied dating and later Tiffany told the media that Knight is gay and so did an ex-boyfriend through an article. He eventually admitted it and said that he has never hidden the fact. He has been in a relationship with Harley Rodriguez since 2008 and the two have appeared in “The Amazing Race”. Rumors are that the two are married, but neither they nor their representatives have confirmed that. He’s also mentioned that he’s scared of performing in front of crowds of people when he thinks about it. He currently resides on a farm in Essex, Massachusetts.
