American professional soccer player Christian Mate Pulisic (born September 18, 1998) plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for the Premier League team Chelsea and the United States national team.

Due to his excellent play and nationality, he has earned the nickname “Captain America” from mostly American fans and other players.

Pulisic earned his professional debut for the German club Borussia Dortmund in just 15 junior games after rising fast through the team’s youth academy. He was then promoted to the senior team in 2016 at the age of 17.

During his first season with the squad, he made a few appearances, but the next season, his role considerably grew.

He played a significant role on the Dortmund team that captured the DFB-Pokal in 2016–17. In the 2018 Kopa Trophy competition for the best player under the age of 21, he finished in second place.
